The Story of Mary Glenn
Mary Glenn Copenhaver and I met in 2011. She was a beautiful and super intelligent woman. She loved to paint and visit with friends. Her family was the light of her amazing life. I started out as a private duty sitter for her. After a few months, she and I began to develop this astonishing bond of friendship even though we were 40 years apart.
She had a magnetic smile and a laugh that just warmed your soul. She spoke so many times about her world travel and how family was the STONE. She adored her siblings and loved her husband to the moon and back. Ms. C, as I called her, was a women of the world and I loved her with all my heart. As months past, we all could see some changes just like the weather, but as months became years, time just stood still for her. Her tears seemed to dry up and she feared nothing. As I recall this one special day with her as her mind resurfaced for a while, she said: let's go by my mom and dad's old house and as we arrived, she took me on a stroll of her childhood with the tears flowing that day. It was the first day in many, many months that she knew everything clear as a whistle. Not long after that, my best friend passed away.
She remains in my heart always as she taught me how to be patient, caring, and loving. She gave me one of the greatest gifts in life and that story will remain only in my and her hearts.
Mary Glenn is the backbone to this company because if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have had the courage to move forward.
I love you Mary Glenn Copenhaver, With All My Heart and your memory will never be forgotten.
